(Reuters By ANDREA BURZYNSKI) - Cooked lamb eyeball, boiled fertilized duck egg and beaver tail are just a few of the more unusual dishes sampled by a club of adventurous eaters called the Gastronauts.
Started in March of 2006 by two friends who wanted to try some of the more exotic foods that could be found in New York, the first meeting of the club attracted only six people.

(The Smoking Gun) - Cops responding to a call about a landlord-tenant dispute at a Florida home discovered a dead cougar frozen in a garage freezer that was also stuffed with mangoes and two dead parrots.
The bizarre discovery last month at the Loxahatchee home of Gene Stimmler, 73, prompted investigators to seek the aid of state wildlife officials as well as the county’s animal control unit, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office report.

Heather Raybon was left permanently scarred with terrible facial burns after being caught up in a blast at a meth lab in 2004.

(Daily Mail By NINA GOLGOWSKI) - Fighting a planned religious sacrifice in an open field this weekend, a city official says she shut down the ceremony despite their religious rights, while the Muslim group says they would carry on anyway.
Florida land given to use for Sunday’s Muslim ceremony of Eid al-Adha which sacrifices a livestock animal for food, was revoked after a government official said it wasn’t appropriate and victimizes an innocent animal.
